Patanega – Jamón de Bellota 5 Jotas
Patanega, also known as Jamón de Bellota 5 Jotas, is one of the finest expressions of the Spanish curing tradition.
Originating from the Jabugo area, in Andalusia, it comes from Iberian pigs raised in the dehesa and fed, during the montanera, on the natural resources of the land and on precious acorns.
The long ageing and slow maturing allow the ham to develop its characteristic aromatic profile: intense and complex, yet at the same time elegant and harmonious.
Sliced, Patanega is recognisable by its deep red colour and its characteristic marbling, which makes each slice tender, melt-in-the-mouth and full of aroma.
A product that holds in every slice the character of the Spanish dehesa, the wisdom of a centuries-old tradition and all the value of a great Iberian ham.
Patanega 5 Jotas: a specialty to be savoured slowly, slice after slice.
